Remove the Wheel and Clean the Caliper
Carefully remove the wheel to gain full access to the brake caliper. Thoroughly clean the caliper surface to remove dirt, brake dust, and grease, ensuring proper adhesive bonding.
Step 2
Test Fit the Caliper Cover
Position the cover over the caliper without adhesive first. This allows you to verify fitment, alignment, and wheel clearance before final installation.
Step 3
Apply High-Temperature Adhesive
Apply an even layer of automotive glass adhesive to the mounting surface of the caliper cover. Use only heat-resistant adhesive designed for automotive applications.
Step 4
Position the Cover on the Caliper
Carefully place the cover onto the brake caliper and align it in the desired position. Ensure the cover sits securely and does not interfere with surrounding components.
Step 5
Secure the Cover During Curing
If necessary, use masking tape to hold the cover firmly in place while the adhesive begins to set. This helps maintain proper alignment during the curing process.
Step 6
Allow the Adhesive to Cure
Leave the vehicle stationary for at least 2 hours to allow the adhesive to cure properly. For maximum bond strength, follow the adhesive manufacturer's recommended curing time.
